To mark the 21st Anniversary of the founding of the first regional Branch of the RAFPA by Alan Rusling it has been decided, under the patronage of St.Michael's Branch (Designate), to re-introduce the "Alan Rusling Memorial Award". Nominations are, therefore invited, and should be submitted by e-mail to, the closing date being 30th September 2015. All nominations will be acknowledged.

The nominations, with full supporting reasons, should be made by individuals in confidence; they must not be made via the Yahoo Group address or any other form of social media, any received in this manner will be disqualified. Likewise, individual nominations should not be discussed in open meetings or on forums as this breaches confidentiality and can cause embarrassment to unsuccessful nominees.

The criteria for the award is that the Recipient shall, in the view of the adjudicators, have rendered outstanding service to the Royal Air Force Police Association as a whole, a Branch of the Association, or both. John Armfield (Branch Chairman), Steve Lamacraft (Branch member & previous recipient of the award) and Alan Roberts (previous recipient & past Secretary of the North West Area Branch) have agreed to act as Adjudicators.
