London and Home Counties Branch of the RAF Police Association visit Northwood HQ

On the 25th August 2009, members of the London and Home Counties Branch of the RAF Police Association visited Northwood HQ. During the visit the members were greeted by Lt Cdr Martin Shakespeare, GBR Navy and then treated to interesting briefs on Counter Piracy, NATO Shipping Centre, Counter Intelligence in NATO and the current role of the Public Affairs office during Ocean Shield. The members finished off enjoying a drink in the Sgts Mess before leaving. Sgt John Morgan, who organised the visit, said, I have much respect for these veterans and it was wonderful to seeing them enjoying themselves. All the members expressed their thanks on an excellent visit and it was a particular pleasure to see my ex-Warrant Officer and his wife, Mr and Mrs Brian Flinn. A special thank you must go to Lt Cdr Shakespeare, Lt Cdr Mark Hornung, Sgt Simon Marshall and Mrs Shona Lowe for their presentations and help throughout the visit.
